Our case worker just called to give us our number on the boy waiting list....
We are #26
So, that means that there are 25 families in front of us awaiting the referral of their little boys. As they receive their referrals, our number will countdown until we are at #1 and we are given our referral of Elijah! Can you see us doing the happy dance? Can you hear our cheering? We are so happy to be on the waiting list!!! Thanks be to God!

I am so happy for you. It is such a great feeling knowing you're on the list and that you're counting down and getting closer and the paperchase is over. We're sitting at #20 on the boys list right now. Here's hoping that list moves quickly :)

Thanks for your great comment on my blog! You've hit the nail on the head with the gift giving. We let the boys pick out 3 gifts--same number as Jesus received from the wise men--for Christmas. We encourage them to focus on their needs and not necessarily wants. They've gotten better as they have gotten older!

I will admit I have prayed each time I grind my beans and each time I have a cup of what I now refer to as my "Elijah coffee", but I must admit I prayed for a low number... but 26 was stuck in my head for some odd reason... and OMGosh what number did you get???? 26!!!
I have been unable to get on line as we do not have internet in our new place yet (Tuesday!!!) so I am in a coffee place and just had to at least log on to your blog to see what is what...
