Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
Trust is something God has been placing before me lately. He has placed the idea of adoption in the hearts of my husband and I. We have questioned if this could be truly what He is saying since we just had a baby only seven months ago? He whispered, "Trust." It made us think about the cost involved. He again whispered, "Trust." We then began to think about all of the things in our lives that have been done by Him for us...things that required trust.
What if we had stopped our first daughter and said, "This is all we need in our family"...we would not know our beautiful son.
What if we would have denied the feelings He placed in us to move to a new town despite the fact that my husband's job is still in the old place...we would not know the blessing of our home, our new friends, our daughter's wonderful school and our community.
What if we turned our heads when He placed in our hearts the need for us to have another child; even after the miscarriages...we would have missed out on all of the happiness that lies with our third child.
So, we pray that He continues to guide us and show us what He has planned for us. We pray for complete trust in Him and His plan and this is what He showed us yesterday...
As I was checking the updates of my blogging friends, I noticed my friend Kim had updated. I clicked on her blog and it did not bring me to her latest update. Strangely enough, it took me to an old post I had missed, it was posted on July 12th. This older post told about her friends bringing their sweet baby, Lucy Lane, home from Ethiopia. I now see that it was God who placed that older post in front of me because I was suddenly so blessed by the beautiful face in front of me. I clicked on Lucy Lane's blog to read about her and her new forever family. Their story is absolutely beautiful. They have four biological children under the age of seven. When their youngest was just 10 months old, God placed adoption in their hearts. They listened and followed God's guidance. Now they have beautiful Lucy Lane.
I know that God showed me that past post for a reason. My husband and I sat down together and watched this amazing video of testimony from Lucy's family. Tears poured down our faces as we heard God say to us once again, "TRUST".
Please take a moment to watch Lucy's video and visit their family blog. Please listen to see if He is also telling you to "Trust" Him today.

Thanks so much for posting this video and sharing about your own desire to adopt. My husband and I, too, have long had a desire to adopt. We've been hesitant to move forward because of the cost, but your post reminded me to go to the Lord with our request and trust Him to provide in His timing. Blessings!
this is amazing Amy! You are such a blessing and I love reading your posts! You are too wonderful!
Hi Amy! Thanks for visiting me at my blog. You have a beautiful family; if God is challenging you toward "increase", tend to that stirring within and see where it leads.
He is so faithful to guide as we, indeed, place our complete trust in his leadership and voice within.
Have a blessed weekend.
